Brisk Teaching and Brisk Boost Earn ESSA Tier IV Certification

ESSA Tier IV certification means that Brisk:

1. Has a solid foundation built on rigorous research

2. Employs a well-defined logic model and theory of change

3. Has a commitment to ongoing research and evaluation

This is great news for educators! As an administrator for many years, I know how important it is to invest in evidence-based curriculum and instructional tools. By partnering with Leanlab Education to expand our research base and align with ESSA tiers of evidence, we are giving educators even greater confidence that Brisk and Boost will help them reach their goals.

This is the first step in our research to demonstrate three key benefits of using Brisk Teaching and Brisk Boost. First, Brisk Teaching saves teachers time and increases job satisfaction. One of the most significant benefits of Brisk is allowing teachers to reclaim their time. Teachers often find themselves overwhelmed with administrative work, lesson planning, and grading. Brisk Teaching steps in to alleviate these burdens.

Brisk Teaching does this in many ways, quickly generating standards-aligned lesson plans, brainstorming activities, creating quizzes, and resources, allowing teachers to focus more on interactions with students. This efficiency not only saves time but also reduces stress, leading to increased job satisfaction.

Second, Brisk Teaching and Brisk Boost increase student engagement. They are designed to make learning more interactive and engaging for students. These tools can create personalized learning experiences that address individual students’ needs and interests. Brisk Teaching can change the reading level of or translate the language of any article or website. Brisk Boost provides a safe AI-enabled learning environment where students can get tutor, fine tune their debate skills, prepare for assessments, chat with characters and much more. Boost makes learning fun and helps students grasp difficult concepts more easily, keeping students motivated and reducing frustration. As a result, students are more likely to stay engaged and invested in their learning journey.

Finally, Brisk Teaching and Brisk Boost provide timely feedback to students increasing the amount and the quality of student writing. One of the most powerful features of Brisk Teaching is the ability to recommend instant feedback on student writing. This feedback allows students to get coaching and learn from their mistakes quickly, rather than waiting days or weeks to receive comments. Brisk Teaching is transforming education by saving teacher time, increasing student engagement, and improving writing skills through timely feedback.

The ESSA Tier IV certification serves as a valuable indicator of quality. It signifies that Brisk Teaching and Brisk Boost are not just time-saving tools, but serious academic products that can catalyze student learning. While we're excited about this achievement, we view it as just the beginning.

We are dedicated to ongoing research to demonstrate the impact of Brisk Teaching and Brisk Boost in the lives of teachers and their students. Let us know if your school is interested in partnering with us on a case study by emailing us at hello@briskteaching.com.
