Upcoming events include parent teacher conferences on Feb. 25 from 4:00-7:00 pm (sign up using the link teachers sent in a separate email), Pancake Breakfast on March 1 from 8:00-10:00 am, music concert March 10 at 6:00pm at the high school auditorium. Remind parents that the book fair will happen during parent teacher conferences and they should consider purchasing books from teacher wish lists for classroom libraries. Also remind parents to be careful when dropping students off at school. There have been too many near accidents and student safety is paramount.

Remind parents to make sure they keep money in their student's lunch account to avoid negative balances. Also remind parents of upcoming construction at the middle school starting in April that will impact the parking lot and student drop off procedures. More information will be coming as construction begins.

Write key learning targets aligned to Wisconsin state standards and an essential driving question for the unit. Additionally, include key vocabulary and summative assessment strategies for the unit. List what students should know and be able to do by the end of the unit.
Exemplar
Imagine you are a reporter writing an article to explain the three branches of government to kids your age. Describe what each branch (legislative, executive, and judicial) does, including their powers and how they work together. Why is it important for each branch to have limits on its power? Use examples to show how checks and balances keep our government fair and balanced. Make your article interesting and easy to understand!

Also thank the parent Booster Club for hosting the fall sports banquet which saw 5 athletes sign commitments to play athletics in college. Upcoming events include parent teacher conferences on Feb. 21 from 4:00-7:00 pm, registration for next year courses starts March 1, and art show starts March 8. Remind parents to review the course guidebook posted on the website to help their students select courses for next year. Parents should note new courses available in the art and music program. Counselors are also available for parents and students to meet and plan future coursework.

IEP Goal Plan
